While doing a Tangeos Jr.


puzzle. Jacob quickly found
the cat puzzle and began
working on it. At one point
when he needed to flip the
piece over, he said that the
piece was broken. Then, he
put the piece back and took it
out again and said "it's fixed
now."

I was very surprised


by his reaction. I
overlooked his active
energy for not
knowing much. I am
going to have to
observe him more so
see what he really
knows

Library

Jacob was sitting down in the


library area and he was
looking at a picture of his
family, Miss, Kristina came up
and set next to him. She
asked him which one was his
mom and he pointed to mom.
Then she asked him which
one is his dad and he pointed
to his dad. Lastly she asked
him which one was his sister
and pointed to his sister.

When he is missing
his family he likes to
look at their picture
and points to each
member in his family.

Jacob was sitting on the floor


with a fire truck. Miss.
Kristina came up to Jacob a
asked him to put it in the red
bin on the table. Jacob stood
up and picked the fire truck
up off the floor and placed it
in the bin on the table.

Jacob loves Miss.


Kristina. He only
follows direction from
certain caregivers.

Jacob was playing with a big


red ball. Miss. Kristina was
watching him. Jacob looks up
at Miss. Kristina and then got
up and. picked up the ball
and gave it to Miss. Kristina
who was walking around the
playground

He has come such a


long way from where
he began. Now he is
actually sharing his
toys!

Notes

Jacob dumped a bucket of


small balls on the floor in the
toy and game area and began
to kick them. He was
laughing and smiling.
Miss. Kristina and Jacob are
in the library area and Jacob
a picks up a shape book.
Jacob opens the book and on
the page there is a ball. Miss.
Kristina asked Jacob what is
that. He says ball, ball.

Caregiver encourages
Jacob by saying "Yes,
ball. Good job"
He loves this shape
book

Jacob pick up a triangle and


hits it with the metal stick
once then stops and laughs.
The continues to hit it three
more times. He looks at Miss
Kristina and laughs.
Jacob sees a bird flying from
tree to tree. He runs around
and follows it. He then begins
flapping his arms up and
down and says "I a bird"

This made me laugh.


He really took and
interest in birds after
this.

Jacob grabbed a chalk board


and some chalk and begins to
scribble on the board and
said "I draw train"

He loves trains. He
always surprises me
on what he knows.

Jacob sitting in the book area


picks up a book he always
wants Miss. Kristina to read
to him and begins to speak
softly and pointing at the
words while "reading" After
reading the book she hugs it
and laughs.
