Research Report

The fourth graders are learning about new Next Generation Science Standards
through exploration and research. We are asking for your help with the research
part of our next project at home. By Monday, May 2, your child should come to
school with printed information that you and your child have already discussed at
home. Please research the following information with your child:

Brain

How do animals receive information through their senses?

How do they process that information in their brain?
How do they respond to that information in the brain?
What is the significance of this topic as a scientist?
How does your topic relate to your life?
Find or draw a diagram to visually represent your topic
If possible, research an experiment that has been done on your
topic. How would you summarize the experiment?

During the weeks of testing (April 25-April 29 and May 9-13), students will not
have nightly homework pages such as HOT Topic or Language Review, but they
will still be expected to read for 20 minutes every night and gather research for
their report. Please send all printed pages to school by Monday, May 2nd. We
