Small Steps

A big classroom with 24 teen students. Maple brown desks and charcoal chairs were
settled by the students. The majority is Australian, and the minority is foreign, including Chinese,
Thai, German, Japanese, Korean, and African. This classroom is just like a vital international
convention. The 24 lives were waiting a final announcement from an old, clumsy, and slow-talking
principal. Lachlan was impatient like a businessman, who was in a hurry of getting out of the
school. Suddenly, Lachlan quickly stood up, walked courageously to where the P.A. system is
located, and shouted loudly like a feral lion with British accent.
Why dont you announce yet old man. We have been bloody waiting for decades already.
Lachlan shouted.
Suddenly, there was an another voice coming. A male voice with South African accent
mixed with Australian accent.
Lockie. It has been only ten minutes. Chill boy. Chill. Tony talked calmly.
Eventually, there was an old god-like voice announcing.
Good afternoon students. This is a final announcement from the school. Good Luck, be
safe, and enjoy holiday. The principal announced.
After the announcement, the following up voice went wildly like wild animals. The voice of
happiness from students. Following by a school bell ringing around the school. Every students
walked out of the classroom with joy and grace.
Hey Tony, do you wanna hit my place first? Lachlan asked Tony.
Oh yeah Lockie. I want to see your mom and younger sister. Tony answered.

Suddenly the 502 bus was stopping at the bus stop. The bus was freshly new and clean.
The Mercedes Benz logo shined brightly like a sun shinning in the afternoon. The duo caught the
bus to Lachlans house for chilling out. On the way to the house, Lachlan took his Beat earphones
out, jacked into his iPhone 6, opened the Music app, and chose a song. At the same time, Tony
intended to do the same as Lachlan, but his precious Plantronics headphone was broken severely.
Thus, Tony asked, Dude, my headphone is busted. Isnt okay if you mind sharing the music
with me?
I dont mind man. Lachlan answered I love sharing with mates, bro.
Oh Gee, cheers mate. Tony replied happily.
In the afterward, the two listened to the song, and an abrupt question constructed by Tony.
Lockie. Whats this funky melodic song? It makes me to dance like a crazy hobo in
Fremantle.
Lockie laughed maniacally, and answered Its called Give It Away, by Red Hot Chili
Peppers. It was released in 1991, under the album, Blood Sugar Sex Magik.
WOW! Dude, you are an avid fan. You sir should deserve a medal of honour. Tony
commented.
Suddenly, the bus directly stopped in front of Canningtons place. Lachlan and Anthony
walked off the bus, and straightly approached an entrance door. Lachlan and Tony entered the
house, got into the kitchen, brought some delicious snacks, and walked upstair to Lachlans
bedroom. Tony firstly opened the cream-colour door with a Sex Pistols poster on it.
