My name is Adrian Chang, and I am writing you to express my interest in filling the high school math teacher
position at Arcadia High School. I believe that my commitment to students and my experiences in the field of
education make me a qualified candidate.
I hope to create learning environments that not only makes mathematics bearable, but inspires and motivates
students to excel. I am open to various assessment practices in order to assess each students level of knowledge and
monitor progress towards achievement of goals. While I have not yet held any fulltime teaching positions, my
various internship and student teaching experiences were all very successful. Having worked with multiple
Nationally Board Certified teachers, I am armed with a variety of proven methods in which to instruct students, as
well as a willingness and openness to trying new approaches. Having interned and student taught at your school, I
feel I have an existing rapport with students as well as the community at large, which I hope to only strengthen as I
progress.
