AFTER THE FIELD TRIP: What stuck out

to you about pathways to teaching?
What stuck out to you about what you're
looking for in post-high school
education?
(If you don't go on the field trip, use 7th period on Thursday to find answers
to at least 6 of your questions)

The vibe that I got at SPU really stood out to me. At the other schools
we have gone to, the people seemed friendly enough, but there was
something about the people at SPU that seemed moregenuine, but I
dont want to say genuine, because it's not like people at our other field
trips were faking it. I guess they were just friendly in the way that I liked
and everything they did/said seemed really natural and it felt like a
place where I could belong.

We saw two dogs on campus! Wherever I go for college, I want there to

be dogs around.

I was surprised that SpEd teachers have to get certified for K-12 and
learn basically everything that could be taught up to that level, even if
the only grade they ever teach in their life is preschool.
I liked their passion - I liked how excited one of our tour guides got
when someone in our class mentioned that they liked teaching special
ed preschool.
