Lesson Title Counting in Spanish for K-2nd grade

1. Objectives:

List the following in this section of the lesson plan:

2. Materials/Equipment:
Paper elephants
Safety scissors
Colored pencils and crayons.

3. Instruction:

Teacher Procedures: The teacher will hand out the elephants and
give them a few minutes to cut them out and color them. Teacher
will begin the lesson by saying the Spanish numbers out loud, once
in English and again in Spanish and ask the children to number
their elephants. Teacher will then play the video and make sure to
tell the students to raise up their elephants when they come up on
the video.

Student Activities: The teacher will tell the students its
time for their Spanish lesson. Today the students will be learning
some new numbers. The teacher will hand out the paper with the
elephants and tell the students to carefully cut them out. They will
then number their elephants and color them any way they like.
They will learn the numbers from the teacher first, and then they
will watch the video. For every new elephant that comes up, the
students will hold that many elephants in the air and try to sing
along.

4. Closure:

Ask the students questions about the video. What other characters
were in it? How do they think the character is called in Spanish? What do

they think will happen to the elephants if they keep going?
