Forsomereason,manycompaniesstillchosenottohirepeoplewithautismbutinfact,
companiesdonotknowthathiringapersonwithautismcanactuallybeanadvantagetotheir
company.Yes,peoplewithautismmayhavebadsocialandcommunicationskills.Theyalso
havetroublecommunicatingwithotherpeopleandkeepingaconversationgoing.Althoughtrue,
thisisnotagoodenoughreasontonothiresomeoneforajob.Iftheyqualifyforthejobandthey
havetherightskillsanddedicationtheirsocialskillsshouldnotmatter.Infact,therearemany
jobsthatdonotrequiretalkingtocustomers.Anautisticpersonmaygotheirentirelifewithout
gettingajobwhichissadbecausetheywon'thaveasourceofincomeandwon'tbeableto
supportthemselvesortheirfamily.Thisisnotright,everyoneshouldhaveanequalopportunity
togetajobandcompaniesshouldnotdiscriminateapersonjustbecausetheyhaveautism.
Peoplewithautismarecapableofgettingjobs,andareinfactreallysmart.Companiesshould
focusonthepositivesofhiringapersonwithautismbecausethefactthattheydonothavegood
socialskillsdoesnotmatterandinsteadshouldlookattheirpositivequalities.Somepeoplemay
arguethat,peoplewithautismarenotcapableofworkingbecausetheylacksocialskills.
