Procedures
EXPLORE (Engagement):
Students will begin the activity by practicing the drawing on
copy paper first. Once they feel that their practice is complete
and they feel they have a clear understanding of the
techniques they will use, then they will have me check off the
practice. Students will get their final draft paper and they will
begin the final drawing. Students will use the techniques they
used in the practice on their final paper. The final draft will be
a complete drawing of the picture of the face that they
received at the beginning of the lesson. Students will be
working on this for the remainder of the class period.
SUMMARIZE/SHARE (Closure):
At the end of the class period I will get the attention of the
students. We will review how the students used previous
drawing techniques to complete the proportions of their
drawing. Students will be told that we will be continuing the
lesson on the next class. We will review this lesson again at
the beginning of the next class meeting.
