Homelessness:Overviewofissue
Homelessnessreferstothestatusofaconsiderableamountofpopulation
(sixhundredthousandintheUnitedStates)inwhichstablenighttime
residenceisunavailable.Suchstatusproducesmanydebilitativeeffectson
peoplethatonecouldnottrulyapprehenditshorrorwithoutpersonally
experiencingit.Largepercentageofthehomelesspopulationstruggleswith
basiclivingconditions,suchasfood,clothing,andhygiene.Thehomeless
grouphadbeenculturallyandpoliticallydismissedforgenerations;their
problemisthesociety'sproblem,sincethehomelesspopulationislargely
composedofthemosthelpdemandingpopulationandthemost
helpdeservingpopulationoftheUnitedStates.

.However,largelyduetothephysicalandpsychological
traumasleftonthembythewar,theybecamesemipermanentlyunableto
returntonormallife.Theyaretheoneswhotrulydeservedthehelpof
society,yetlittlehadbeendonetoimprovetheircondition.

.Thisfractionofthehomeless
populationarethemostvulnerabletothesufferingsonemustfacewhen
livingonthestreets,astheyareincapableoftakingcareofthemselves.
Throughnofaultsoftheirown,theycametobesick,butbeinghomeless
semipermanentlyabolishedtheirhopeofrecovery.Althoughwhatthey
havemaybeeasilymanageable,theycouldnotobtainaccesstotherapyor
medicationwhentheycouldnotmaintainalivelihood.

widespreadinghomelesspopulationandspreadingawarenesstothe
population.Themainproblemwetrytoconquerthatwillhelpour
organizationisawareness,manypeopledonotknowtheseriousnessof
homelessnessintheUnitedStatesandtherestoftheworld.Eachofour
locationswillhaveaflaghungwithourlogoandname.Wehopetohelp
peopleunderstandwhathomelessnessreallyisandhowitaffectsallofus,
whatyoucandotohelpputastoptohomelessness.Ourorganizationstands
forthegoodwilltowardsalllessfortunatewhetheritbemenorwomen.The
"HomelesshelpandRealizationProject"Wedowhatwedobecausewewant
tohelpthosewhocannothelpthemselves,abibleversethatmayexplain
whatwedoisProverbs19:17"Whoeverisgeneroustothepoorlendstothe
Lord,andhewillrepayhimforhisdeed."Whenyouhelpothersandspread
awarenesssootherswanttojointhecause,youmaynotberewarded
throughfameormoney.Thoughyouarerewardedbythepeopleyouhave
helpedthesmilesyouhavecreatedforthosewhoarelessfortunate.

ActionPlan:
Weplantocreatecommunitygardensforthehomelesstouseintheinner
cityandwherethehomelesspopulationisover40peopleinazipcode.The
SalvationArmyoffershousingandfoodforthehomelessthattheyoffer
shelterto,butthehomelessthatremainonthestreetgetlimitedhelp.
Becauseofourcommunitygardens,wearehelpingthehomelesstohelp
themselves.LosAngelesMissionoffersshelter,meals,andschoolingto
homelessfamiliesandindividuals.JustlikeTheSalvationArmy,theyoffer
limitedhelptothosethatcan'tgetintotheirshelter.

FinancialPlan:
Weaskthatweraiseatleast$1,000tomaintainvariouscommunitygardens.
Thehomelesswillbewelcomedintothegardentogetwhateverfruitsand
vegetablestheyneedtohelpthemavoidextremehunger.Anyexcessfoods
willbesoldtolocalchurchesandcommunitycentersandprofitswillgoback
tobuildingmoregardens.Asthisactionplantakesoffwewillthenexpand
intoothercountiesacrossSouthernCalifornia.
