Additional comments on Planning For Student Learning
Andria was effective and creative in her lesson planning during her student teaching at KDM School.
She created new activities that complimented our district's curriculum. Her lessons contained good
pacing and clear objectives. She modified lessons for our school's diverse learning population.
Additional comments on Teaching For Student Learning
Andria used the technology and media available in our classroom in her lessons. She designed
lessons that contained activities using higher order thinking skills. Students worked independently
with her supervision and problem solved with her help. Andria provided constant feedback about the
students' work and performance in the classroom.

Andria's skills as a musician allowed her to assess student's performance through observation and
make corrections during rehearsals and music class that led to their improvement.

Andria maintained the high standards of classroom behavior in the music room. She followed the
classroom expectations and redirected students when necessary. Andria paced her lessons well and
kept transitions between activities efficient.

Andria is an excellent communicator. She has a pleasant speaking voice and is an impeccable
musician. She gives directions in ways that are clear to students. Andria is open to suggestions to
improve her teaching and reflects well on classes. She makes changes when appropriate and shows
that she is always trying to improve upon her teaching.
Overall Comments
It has been absolute pleasure to host Andria in my classroom. She is wonderful teacher who
conducts herself with professionalism above her years of experience. Her excellent musicianship
assists her in the classroom in every regard. She is an excellent conductor and despite being a vocal
major, has been an effective teacher in the instrumental setting as well. Andria interacts with
students of all ages and learning types well. The students and I have enjoyed the time she has spent
at KDM School and we wish her all the best in her teaching career.
