PROVINCIAL YOUTH SUMMIT 2.0

1.

LEYTEAM, Inc. will be spearheading the conduct of the PROVINCIAL YOUTH SUMMIT
2.0 on April 14 17, 2016 in the Municipality of Palo with its theme, We Shall Return.
In general, the summit aims to rejuvenate the youths active participation and involvement
to nation building through dynamic sessions, interactive workshops and enriched
discussions and to provide venue for sharing best practices in the implementation of youth
programs in the entire island of Leyte. In particular, the affair aims to equip young leaders
with awareness of various issues, skills and competencies in making the youth a
significant teamwork in practice. Hence the objectives of the Provincial Youth Summit are:

To expose youth leaders to various leadership concepts, models and

practices for a broader outlook and benchmarking;
To create a network of convergence among the youth of the Province of
Leyte;
To position the role of the youth sector in the attainment of Sustainable
Developmental Goals (SDGs);
To confront the challenges of the SDGs particularly gender equality,
climate change, sustainable energy, education and poverty;
To identify strategies in the attainment of SDGs.

Participants to the Provincial Youth Summit are all Youth and School Organizations
Officers, KK Taskforce Officers, former SK Officials and Youth Leaders.

3.

Attendance of participants shall be on official business. The registration fee is four

thousand five hundred pesos ( Php 4, 500.00) FOR PRE REGISTERED
PARTICIPANTS UP TO MARCH 15, 2016; WALK IN PARTICIPANTS ( MARCH 16
APRIL 14) will be charged five thousand pesos (Php 5, 000.00). Participants are hereby
authorized to charge the expenses to their respective local funds/Barangay SK
Funds/local school board funds/ Student Affairs Funds/ Parents Teachers Association
(PTA) / Private organizations, subject to the availability thereof and the usual accounting
and auditing rules and procedures. The registration fees collected shall be used to directly
pay expenses for the following: meals from Day 1 to Day 4; honoraria, and accommodation
of speakers; training kits; consultancy services; supplies and materials; and other related
and incidental expenses of the program.

All payments are payable to LEYTEAM, Inc., the PYS 2016 organizer.

Each participating municipality will have a room assignment for the accommodation. Each
participant should bring their respective beddings, toiletries and other personal
necessities.

6.

All City/Municipal Mayors, MLGOO, School/University/College Heads and Barangay

Chairmen are encouraged to send participants to the 2 nd Provincial Youth Summit.
