- MONEYLIFE Dear Moneylifers, FOUNDATION Greetings to all. hope you are enjoying your summer break. In the past few weeks, many of you who are outside Mumbai have been expressing regret that most of our seminars are in Mumbai and you are unable to attend them. We understand the sentiment. We are really proud of what we are able to do at the LRC with the help of senior activists and that of people from Mumbra to Malabar Hill who walk in for guidance. Just one example is the group in this picture, who are all skilled workers who have not been paid for months. They walked in as some kind soul from Mumbai's suburbs told them, "go to Moneylife Foundation, they will help you and provided our address", Here is the report we wrote : MyHomeMaker: Another Start-up goes Belly Up. Memorandum on Fixed Deposits: Our memorandum to Mr Arun jaitely, Minister of Company Affairs with 1,596 complaints from those who have not received principle or interest on their fixed deposits is also a part of this effort. It is a slow battle, with hardly any light at the end of the tunnel unless we have more support and resources. We are working on it. Take a look at the Memorandum here. Since we received no response, Yogesh Sapkale, our deputy editor filed an RTI, which led to some action. Check the report here We would love to be able to do more of this. But from July 2016, we will run out of a part of our funding and need to raise additional funds to continue the work and update our website to make the answers to important queries visible to all.
