WHO CAN USE IT?
This product can use it all the people from all ages because, it has several uses
such as a couch and a bed, and it is form for only one material that have to move
to form another structure, but in my opinion is more for adults because why a kid
would like his? They will prefer and enjoy something from their age and and adult
would take this product as a good idea because it is more useful for them that
they have to do more things in the daily life.
WHY IS SOLVING A PROBLEM?
First of all, the function of this is to seat and sleep in a small area and in my
opinion this can be very useful when you have to stay with a friend, sibling or like
in some cases you have to stay in a sick person house to take care of it and you
dont have a lot of space this can be useful to seat all day and at night change it
to a bed and sleep comfortable all night, this product is specially for places no
more than 2 meters or that you want to reduce space.
WICH MATERIAL DO YOU USE?
In my opinion we can use recycle material like couch or something that can serve
as a mattress and generally we would only need two to three material that are he
mattress and some fabric to cover and look better and this can be more
presentable to all the public, and as you can see you dont need more material
and optional if you want to add a pillow or cushion to feel more comfortable we
can be able to do it.
ARE YOU ABLE FOR CREATING BY YOURSELF?
I think that as a team we are able to do it because we think on different ways and
ideas that can really help to solve it and also it is very easy the only difficult part
is to gather all materials that are not too much and have the best quality of
product for all our public or shoppers and finally that the real meaning or function
of this object can really serve and help all people from all ages.
HAS IT AN APPROPIATE COST?
I think my product did have an appropriate cost because actually we ca use
some recycle material or specifically couch to construct it and just cover it with
some fabric and we are a team so the cost will be distributed if it is necessary to
buy something more complex

WHO CAN USE IT?

The persons that can use this product are specially babys and adults such as
parents because kids will use it to sit over and parents to change its clothes and
to put some stuff from there, another idea that I have for this is to leave it the
same just that at the door put a mirror so it can be more useful.
WHY IS SOLVING A PROBLEM?
The problem that is solving is the use of space because when you have a baby
sometime you occupy many space or you have everything in disorder so with this
idea you can be more comfortable while changing the bay and also order all the
stuff and this will have three main functions that are to order, change and see
yourself.
WICH MATERIALS DO YOU USE?
The materials that can be use in this project is especially plastic because it has to
be hard, also mirror and some tools to construct correctly the project so in total
more or less it would be 3 main materials such as plastic, couch or cushion and
tools, the teacher told me that we can use and look for some recycle chairs to
make the structure so it can support the weight of the baby so we will need to
find a carton or plastic that is resistant.
ARE YOU ABLE TO CREATING BY YOURSELF?
I think that it would be hard but we can because as a team we can think on
different ways or ideas so we can find a solution, also I think that it is a product
that will really improve the parents life because it is for small places and will
provide you a good result.
HAS IT AN APPROPIATE COST?
Maybe, because we can use recycle chairs or plastic such as the same of carton
but if we have some troubles finding it we would have to buy and that can be
expensive, also the other material are easy to get but the mirror can be a little
expensive and the point in here its to do a good project reducing space and do
not use a lot of money.

WHO CAN USE IT?

In my opinion people from all ages can use it but specially adults and
grandparents to decorate empty spaces and make normal places have a green
area so we can add up and have more green places, also in my opinion the
procedure is more complex and complicated that only old people or adults can
do, and will also improve its life more than if a child or teenager use it
WHY IS SOLVING A PROBLEM?
It is solving a problem because it will increase the green areas and instead of
polluting the world we are going to recycle some of your old mason jars or jelly
jars, and at the same time make your own garden wall that will help you to plant
some ingredients or any kind of plants that will eventually help to decorate and
promote more green areas in all places and it will also help you to have more
fresh areas.
WICH MATERIALS DO YOU USE?
First you need a piece of wood to put on the wall, then some mason jars or old
jelly jars, also some clamps, nails and a hammer, all this materials will depend on
how big or small you want your DIY and also the space you have, also like you
can see all this materials can be recycle or better say reuse like the jars and
large piece of wood and also the other seeds or soil is very cheap either the
hammer that you already have in your house like most of the people and the
nails and clamps.
ARE YOU ABLE TO DO IT BY YOURSEL?
Yes, because I think is easy we only have to take a piece of wood taking in
account how many jars you are going to use and then take the nail and put it and
inside add the jar sustaining very well so it doesnt fall and finally ad some soil
and seeds so it grows, remember to put water all day so your garden wall can be
beautiful and green.
HAS IT AN APPROPIATE COST?
Yes, because as I said before we can recycle many of the materials such as the
jelly jars that we only have to wash them good, the piece of large wood and the
hammer and nails that we can have at our house and finally the soil and seeds
that are cheap to buy and easy to get, so this product is perfect because you
reuse come of the materials you have at your house and the most important part
increase green areas in all parts of the city so we can have more fresh places
with a lot of oxygen.

JUSTIFY NEEDS
Hi, my name is Mariana Patio Diaz, I am from the Instituto Anglo Britanico, in
this document I am going to present you my proposal for the technology fair, first
of all the technology fair is an exhibition were all MYP students present new
ideas, and we have to create a innovative product and the judges evaluate us so
for this I have to choose a very good idea that can really solve a problem and
help a lot of people.
So, my product is a garden wall made especially of mason or jelly jars were in
that containers we are going to plant some flowers or any kind of plant that can
be use or you like, also we can plant some condiments like mint, cumin or some
spices that can help you, improve or make easy some of your daily activities, this
product can be for all ages but in my opinion more for ages from 13 and so on
because you have to use hammer, nails and clamps but the other part of adding
the soil and seeds in the jars is easy and for all ages.
You may be asking yourself where we are going to put or use this product? In my
opinion this can be inside and outside of the house it really doesnt matter, but it
will look good inside to decorate your house with a natural form and reuse easy
materials, so you will have a green DIY that will keep your house and fresh, this
can also serve for serve for outside spaces because instead of having a big
garden you will have a garden in you wall were you can plant some seed and
flowers that will make your places look more alive.
Why I am going to do this? I am going to create this awesome product to
increase green areas specially at houses or offices because is a beautiful idea
that you can make it in many ways like formal and put it inside an office and you
will dcor another place, also I am going to make it because in many cases
people dont like to have big gardens so with this ideas you will reduce some
spaces and reuse some materials. When I am going to make it is in the
technology fair although is just an idea or proposal.
One of the causes why I am going this is to increase green areas in small places
or any kind of places and the effect will be that when we have alive areas we
have more energy and we are more awake, another cause can be that we are
going to reuse some of the materials and the effect will be that we do not spend
too much money in a big garden, it will be cheap and also we are going to use
again other products instead to throw them to the trash and finally another cause
can be that when you have green areas wherever you can have a fresh place
and the effect will be a place with more oxygen.

IDENTIFY AND PRIORITIZE RESEARCH

As you know my proposal for the technology fair is a garden wall, you may start
thinking why this product is important? What are some positive aspects about
this awesome product? Well I will explain to you some of the positive aspects
about this innovative product and also I will inform you about some organizations
that actually help to keep green areas and help to maintain them especially in
Mexico but also in other parts of the world.
One organization is the Mexican Center for Environmental Law (CEMDA) formed
by a group of lawyers doing environmental research, documents attacks against
environmentalists and makes pronouncements, mostly directed at the
government, to improve and correct application of environmental standards. Also
applies concrete actions threatened ecosystems and ecological warning
monitoring sites. So this is very important in our society because it not only help
to preserve natural areas but also to protect and help the environmentalists in
Mexico.
Natural areas and sustainable development: In addition to the complaint, this
organization is focused on restoring areas that have been damaged by human
action. He has recovered thousands of hectares of forests, jungles and wetlands
in various parts of the country. On sustainable development have several
projects in communities, which, if you are interested, surely you can join. What I
like about this organization is that it not only maintains them but also plant even
more areas and increase so they dont finish with the damage that the humans
have made.
And finally one of my favorites because it is all around the world is Green peace:
that encourage a change in public and corporate policies for social and
responsible solutions implementation, inspiring and helping the strengthening of
an active and plural citizen movement, within the framework of a new model of
production and consumption towards a world free of threats to the environment
where the effects of climate change are not reduced and mitigated. So this
organization really wants to make a change in society and protect all natural
areas and they want to repair the damages that humans have made.
It will not only help the environment but also people because they will have some
spaces to decorate and also they can plant their own medicines so they dont
have to buy them in an expensive way, also in my opinion it can also serve like to
plant some species for food and also you dont have to buy them. This product is
especially for people who cook, and who have some diseases or feel bad like
you can plant some chamomile that will help you or will be a remedy for
headache, muscle or stomach pain and the most important part this pant
contains more than 120 medicinal components. Some other examples of plants
that you can plant in here are the following:
Garlic.
Basil.
Arnica.
Dandelion.
Peppermint.

PRESENT THE FINAL CHOOSEN IDEA

For this technology fair I will work with my team members Carolina Paulin,
Andrea Torres, Isaac Zavala, Obrayan Trevio and I, we all start sharing ideas
because we have you choose one that will be the final so to do this process first
the teacher told us to have 3 ideas and explain them that it was part of our
summative one and then of that 3 ideas we have to choose one that will be our
proposal and after that we all se the proposals and choose one that is the
product that we are going to do this year and now I am going to explain you each
one of the proposals.
First Carolinas proposal was to make a umbrella for dogs, by putting the stick up
so the owner can take it from there and then that the umbrella is also attach to
the belt, first we think this was a good idea but it can me difficult to make by our
own and also it does not cover all aspects that it should although it will help a
little bit but if you start thinking you will realize that when it is raining it is better to
have our dogs inside our house instead of going for a walk but even does thinks
it was a good idea but we are not going to do it.
My partner Andrea also chooses one but we didnt know what was it because we
were at a competition so we can choose between her ideas. Then Isaac proposal
was a couch made of wood and in the outside it has some layers or shelves to
add and put books, we think that this idea was difficult to make and also it dont
cover all aspects that the teacher told us like reduce space, help disable people,
etc. so we instantly we decide that this will not be our product and also he told us
that the teacher dont let him use that idea so we pass to the next that was O
brayan idea.
Obrayan idea was a couch made by sponge so we start thinking that this could
be a good idea because we can reuse or recycle some sponges and cover them
with some fabric and between each layer of sponges we were going to add a
wood table so it can resist better so we show our idea to the teacher and she
didnt approve because it also dont cover all aspects so yes we do have some
problems but at the end we solve it by being open to other ideas.
Finally, they saw my idea and we decide that this will be the best one, my idea is
a garden wall made generally by a piece of wood, mason jars or jelly jars and
some soil and plants and it will help so they choose it specially because it does
help other people comparing with the others, like to increase green areas and not
only that but also by using this you can plant some seeds that will convert in the
best medicines that you can have at your house, with this idea we also have
some problems because the teacher told us that all years they made it and that it
doesnt win and function but we as teams decide to do it because we know that
we can make this project possible.

The last justify need is not related with the actual because we have change to a
new product and it is improve so this is the correct one as well as all past

CILANTRO INVESTIGATION
Have you ever think with what products supermarkets plant their food? In
previous investigations they have discover that one time cilantro was watered
with sewage in Puebla, but the problem was that people do not notice and this
really cause many infections and problems in your health and this has been
prove in this investigation:
Stomach infection
Cyclosporine caused by bacteria, which is found only in tropical and subtropical
areas. He said the infected consumed cilantro native of Puebla, allegedly
contaminated with fecal matter by irrigation with polluted water, the most
common bacteria in contaminated vegetables is Escherichia coli.
Cilantro consumed the infected native of Puebla, allegedly contaminated with
fecal matter by irrigation with polluted water. Food and Drug Administration US
(FDA, for its acronym in English), partially ban the import of Mexican cilantro for
allegedly being the main cause of an outbreak of stomach infections in Texas.
Many times in certain EU products would blame health problems, but would have
to check whether the bacteria actually come from the cilantro, what if the sick ate
other things.
"On other occasions pointed to Mexican fruits were contaminated with sewage,
and eventually it was learned that was not the fruit, but another source that had
caused diseases," he said.
For now, Palacios recommended that the Country coriander wash with water and
soap to prevent bacteria remaining in him. He said that this measure is sufficient
to prevent infection.

BASIC PROPETIES OF HERBS IN THE KITCHEN
Now let us show you some of the advantages you can have with our product right
at your home and also some products or plants that you could plant by yourself ,
it will give you many reasons why to buy it because of this same reasons:
Oregano:
Oregano can be used in sauces, salads, stews, soups, seasoning and marinating
meats, pastas, and pizzas and perfectly complements pickled olives.
IRRIGATION
Oregano likes water moderately.
SUN:
Oporta both cold and heat, although it is preferable that this sun. In cold areas it
is
grown
as
an
annual
plant.
FLOWER POT:
If planted in flower box, develop a poor soil, composed of a mixture of sand ,
compost
and
garden
soil

Parsley:

window but in a place where I have both shadow and sun.
HARVEST:
The leaves start to cut from the plant has 20 to 30 cm. high and they can be
collected throughout the year.
Thyme:
WATERING: Water very sparingly. Do not let the

OBJECTIVE
The problem is that during the past years people has been reducing their green
areas and this is a world problem and also in before years people cook with
different species that now a days they dont use anymore for two reasons the first
one is that they are expensive and their prefer to cook with the ones that are
already done in the supermarket but you dont know if they are good and the
second is that public dont know with what there are plant and sometimes they
use sewage water that could damage in your health.
Our product is call ecoplant, it is made of some pots in which we are going to
plant some species that usually people use at the kitchen and the objective is
that when we are going to plant this we will assure you that they will not be plant
with sewage water, also now a days people do not use species because they are
expensive and also that they have seen that in previous investigations and
experiences some of that plants can cause you diseases.

When we were investigating we choose two procedures that we like and we
choose the first one that was Isaac but we are going to show you the two
procedures and the first one is the one we choose although we change some
things to make it better.
First procedure:

Get some pots, and then you put tape and paint with chalkboard paint. After that
you place the plants into the pots and after that with a chalk stripes that type is
the plant in the dry erase paint you've already set.

product finished in the screw and thats it .

DEMONSTRATE TECHNICAL SKILLS

First we need to buy all the material, the

wood, pots, soil, nails, paint, etc. after we had already, we take the piece of
wood, one nail and the pot and make a little hole in the pot of the measure of the
nail, then take the hammer and the nail and start to stick the hammer into the
wood then get it out and then put the pot, and finally we do the same for the 3
pots as shown in the picture below.

we put it straight and take the hammer and bend them of the back so the nails
dont move or fall, and our product was almost ready.

After we have ready our pots we start adding

our plants and soil and we do the same with the three, finally we just paint it and
our product was ready.

JUSTIFY CHANGES MADE TO THE DESIGN

The changes that we made they may be many but we do it for the good of the
team and product so we can really have it done for the due date and also we can
have a better result, one of the changes was that instead of using mason jars or
jars we use pots and the reason was that the jars cant be holed and the water
will stay in there and the plants die, also we change the plants because we dont
find most of them so at the end we use cilantro, mint, parsley while at the
begging we were going to use cumin, parsley and thyme so at the end our
product do not change a lot because the objective is the same and it will it stay
helping people.

EVALUATING THE SUCCESS OF THE SOLUTION

Our product did have a great impact and in the surveys we do people did like the
product one people more than other, what they dont like at all was the material
because they think was to easy or too cheap to do a good product with that kind
of material but other said that it is good no matter the material, because when we
explain the idea they say that it would change some life of different people
because they can plant any kind of plant or herb like medicines or to cook without
going to the supermarket and would make easier, also something that the
students told me was the perfect size because it is not to big or small as well the
color but they also have some recommendations for us that I am going to explain
you below.

EXPLAN HOW THE PRODUCT COULD BE IMORIVED

The success of our product in the classroom was good but they dont like
somethings that they told us some recommendations of what we can do to
improve some of them were the color that it was good but we can have options of
colors so depending on the color of the kitchen they will choose it so it combine,
also the materials that they would like to be more resistant because our product it
is good but it could be better by adding materials that have more quality as well
that some of them told us that it was okay because it is like recycling and those
were the comments that most of the people told us because in the other aspects
they think it was correct and that we do a great job.
