“Strategies for Teaching Students with Down

Syndrome”

Young People with Down Syndrome face many challenges in the course of their
education. However, so do their educators! Parents, teachers, teacher aides and
Sencos are often looking for guidance and the assistance to maximise learning
opportunities for these young people.

The Canterbury Down Syndrome Association is proud to host two


leading international experts: Anne Squires and Jill Phillips to
share their wealth of knowledge. Anne and Jill have been
educating the educators for many years and are part of the Down
Syndrome Society of South Australia. They have a worldwide
reputation of being on the cutting edge of educating students
with Down syndrome.

Come and listen to success stories and obtain practical guidance


for students at primary and secondary level and at the transition
stages in between.
