Thinking differently: Activity of the day

Its easy to think about how one piece of literature connects to our book or how an
article can relate to our book, but what about something like art? What about music
or poetry? Today you are going to explore non-print sources and poetry. You have
to find a song, art, and a poem that relates to what is going on in your book. You
will then report your findings to the class using your Weebly.

Develop the information below by exploring the various forms of the humanities.
You will have to use your phone of music device for the song section. You will need
Google for everything else. Once you have found this and filled out the information
based on the questions below the form of art, load your information on a sub-page
on your Weebly.

Describe the music of the song. How does it sound? Does it have a tone? What
instruments are playing? Why those instruments? Are there changes to the song?
What about the lyrics? What are the lyrics describing?
There are no lyrics in the song but it sounds like a strong beat. The song is Called
redemption from the ROCKY II soundtrack to show the struggle of Rocky Balboa

Describe the art. What colors are used? How does the artist develop their use of
lines? What is in the background? Foreground? What important objects are in the
painting?
The picture is in black and white to show the bleak setting of prison. The main
objects are the prison bars in the cell block.

Poem:
Describe the poem. What is the poem about? What images are created with the
words in the poem? What emotions are in the poem?

Reflection:
How do these three pieces relate to the story that you are reading right now? Give
three pieces of evidence (one for each piece) that connects your story to the works
above.
