Risk Factors Children With Nutritional Status Below The Red Line in Jambangan

ABSTRACT: Toddler with nutritional status below the red line in East Java in 2012 is about 25.182
toddler or 1,12 persen compared with persentage in 2 years before, in 2010 about
44.449 or 2,13 persen toddler have nutritional status below the red line and in 2011
about 30.449 toddler or 1,36 persen have nutritional status below the red line, so that
causing continued decrease, such as 1,01 persen in 2011 and 0,24 persen in 2012.
The purpose of this research is to know the characteristics variable of toddler with
nutritional status below the red line.
The type of this research is analityc epidemiologi. This research use case control
metode. Case population for this research is 8 mother that have toddler with nutritional
status below the red line that registred in posyandu in 2014 in Jambangan sub-district
Candi, Sidoarjo regency. Control population is 22 mother with toddler in Jambangan.
Sample is taken from register in posyandu. Primer Data is from questionnaire.
Result of this research is mother with low education have a risk to have toddler with
nutritional status below the red line 4.8 times bigger than mother with high education,
mother with low nutritional education have a risk to have toddler with nutritional status
below the red line 4 times bigger than mother with high nutritional education, mother
that have more member of her family in the house have a risk to have toddler with
nutritional status below the red line 1.38 times bigger than mother that have less family
member in her house, family that have less income have a risk to have toddler with
nutritional status below the red line 2.5 times bigger than family that have more
income, mother that doesnt give exclusive breast milk have a risk to have toddler with
nutritional status below the red line 4.3 times bigger than mother that give exclusive
breast milk, and mother that doesnt often go to posyandu have a risk to have toddler
with nutritional status below the red line 4.8 times bigger than mother that always go to
posyandu.
