This is part of a 500mgw program awarded by the Minis try of Electricity split between three companies and the Armada consortium’s share is 1000ngw. The Armada package consists of 10 X 100mgw plants dotted at different locations ac ross the country. Each station is to be structured in one of the following option st - 1@emgw on heavy fuel. - 4 X 24mgw on diesel fuel. - There is no gas feed for any at the locations. Here is what I received from Armada not quite clear but I followed by 2 phone call to get some sense before writing to you guys: Please find in below the diesel power plants DPP specifications required by Iraqi Government: The total No. of the Diesel power plant is 50 D.P.P (site), each D.P.P (site) is 1¢0mw. 1+ 1st suggestion: The output of the diesel engine is 11KV, working on Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO). 2- 2nd suggestion: 1. Each D.P.P contains 4 set of Diesel Engines with output power 24/25MW. 2. Each set consist of 6 Diesel Engine Unit. 3. Each 2 sets will be connected to step-up transformer of 60/60MVA, 11/132KV power transformer. 4. The total step-up transformer for each site is equal to 2x60/63MVA.Note: Heavy Fuel oil: For a main fuel oil of the power plant, is based on 180cSt at 50C. The heavy fuel oil shall have the viscosity characteristics that the viscosity must be within the range of 12-18 cSt with the heating lower than 150¢. Enclose a letter of transmittal to our co. for a power station with capacity of 10 e@oMW There are quite strenuous terms of payment involved, namely: - 5% of contract value as down payment on opening of LC. - 45% after one year. - 50% after 2nd year We can enter into a JV with Armada to handle this project where we will be involve d in all aspects of the contract, particularly the installation. But you should b e aware Armada has agreed this project with the ministry at $1.25m per mgw. The m arket norm currently stands at $850K per mgw. A second plant at 20@mgw is required on urgent basis with similar spec. This one must be installed within 6 months... I’m aware there are a lot of details missing, but at this stage kindly consider if this is something Unaoil wish to get involved in, taking into account: - The size of the project and finances involved. - Type of fuel, (not sure if Pratt & Whinny covers heavy fuel), - Location, Dr. says it’s flexible, But I want it all to be in the South, - Dealing with Dr. Brand; who can be a very difficult customer. Please let me know your thoughts before I spend time pursuing this avenue.. But a lot of discussions lays ahead... However, we can put to rest the thought the Dr. i s phony with suspect connections..
