Upon graduating, I began working as a Special Education Assistant for LAUSD. I worked there for about 6 months and then found my way back to NEW Academy Canoga Park, where I was offered a Teaching Position as a 2nd grade Summer school teacher. This led to a 2nd grade long-term substitute position that lasted the entire 2014-2015 school year. I was then offered another opportunity at NEW Academy Canoga Park, as a long-term substitute teacher in a Kindergarten classroom. While working at NACP, I was fortunate enough to have been included in all of the professional developments that were offered to the credentialed staff.
