DEFINISI
Trauma kepala : suatu ruda paksa akibat
kekerasan/benturan yg dapat menyebabkan
kerusakan
pada
kulit
kepala,
tulang
tengkorak, selaput otak dan jaringan otak.

INSIDEN
Seluruh dunia : 0,3-0,5% penduduk alami cedera
kepala & otak/tahun
Amerika Serikat : 180-220 kasus per 100.000
populasi
50 % dari seluruh trauma yg menyebabkan
kematian cedera kepala
KLL yang fatal : pd otopsi 75% trauma kepala
Trauma multipel paling sering cedera kepala
Sering pd usia muda (15-44thn) rata-rata
