Becaks were banned within the Jakarta city limits in 1994. At that time, former
President Soeharto wanted to eradicate becaks from the city streets because they

stricken with a severe illness which lelt her blind and deaf.

Graham Bell by her parents. From this visit, Helen met her teacher, Anne Mansfield
Sullivan. She was so gifted that by the end of August, in six months, she knew 625
words, learned Braille and learned to write shortly afterward.
By the age of 10, Helen had mastered Braille as well as the manual alphabet and even
learned to use the typewriter. By the time she was 16, Helen could speak well enough
to go to preparatory school and to college. ln 1904, she graduated cum laude from
Radcliffe College. The teacher stayed with her through those years, interpreting
lectures and class discussion for her.
Helen Keller became one of worlds most remarkable women. She dedicated her life
to improve the conditions of the blind and the deaf-blind around the world, lecturing
in more than 25 countries on the live major continents. Wherever she appeared, she
brought new courage to millions of blind people.

Once upon a time, Roro Anteng and Joko Seger lived on the foot of Mount Bromo.
After six years of marriage, they had not had any children. They prayed, pleaded to
Gods for children. Their prayer was granted in one condition. They should sacrifice

After sometime, Roro Anteng gave birth to a child, and it happened every year until
they had 25 children. They lived happily and forgot about the agreement. The mount

Raden Kusuma learned about the deal his parents had made. Meanwhile the lava

Kusuma was a kind and noble man, he didnt want his siblings and other people
suffered because of him. Therefore he went to Mount Bromo and sacrificed himself
to the crater. The eruption suddenly stopped.
After that day, the Tengger people have given offerings to the crater, as Raden
Kusuma had sacrificed himself before.
