ABSTRACT
Background: Tuberculosis is an infectious disease directly caused by TB bacteria
(Mycobacterium tuberculosis), most of the TB bacteria attacks the lungs but can
attack other organs. TB incidence rate of all types of lung Indonesia in 2010 was
450,000, or 189 cases per 100,000 population, the prevalence of all types of lung
TB 690,000, or 289 per 100,000 population and mortality rate of pulmonary TB
64,000 or 27 per 100,000 population, or 175 people per day. Seeing morbidity
rate of pulmonary TB in children under five years based on the above data, while
in-depth study on risk factors of pulmonary tuberculosis in children hasnt been
done, it will be to investigate any factors related to incidence of pulmonary
tuberculosis in children under five were recorded in UPT Lung Health
Community Medan.4 Methods: This study is analytic study with cross-sectional
design, this study has been done in January - December 2015 in Lung department
of UPT Lung Health Community Medan and samples used in this study were 70
patients with primary pulmonary TB Children with new case Results: Patients
were male who suffer from primary pulmonary TB is highest result obtained in
this study as many as 38 people (54.3%) , Patients aged 1-2 years is suffering
from primary pulmonary TB most nation points with 26 (37.1%), patients with a
history of not getting BCG suffering from primary pulmonary TB with the highest
number of 49 people (70%) and patients with history of contact with TB patients
suffering from primary pulmonary TB and the highest is 47 people (67.1%).
Conclusion: There is a relationship between gender, age, BCG immunization
history and history of contact with TB patients with primary pulmonary TB
incidence.
