Digital Technologies Assignment Term

2

5Blue wants to find out more

about YOU!
This assessment builds upon our Digital Technologies learning
and incorporates Maths and English too!
It will involve group tasks (step 1-6) and individual tasks
(step 7-8)

Step 1: Form a group of 4. (In some cases the teacher may

choose to assign group members). Please write your members
here:

Step 2:

Choose a topic they may be assigned to your

group.

How do you travel to school?

What is your favourite soft drink?
What do you eat for breakfast?
What is your favourite colour?
How many people do you live with?
What is your favourite class subject?

Step 3: Research answers using iPads, laptops and

computers to make a questionnaire for the class. This needs to

be done as a group maybe each member could come up

with 1 possible answer.

Step 4: Design a survey/questionnaire. This should look like

the ones we have recently used in your maths books go back
and take a look if you are unsure. Your group can choose what
design method to use in order to create the survey out of the
following:

Publisher
Survey Maker App
Poll Everywhere App
Survey Pocket

Step 5: Survey the class! Remember your questions should

not take longer than 5 minutes to complete.

Step 6:

Input the data into Excel. Make sure that all group
participants have a copy of the correct data.

Step 7: Individually you need to

display this data using TWO
different methods. At least one
method should use digital
technologies. Think back to what you
have learnt previously and how you
can display data if it is already in an
Excel spreadsheet.

Step 8:

Interpret the data by writing a paragraph about it.

What where your findings? You will be marked on the structure

and grammar of this paragraph so it needs to be worthy of a

year 5 student.
