VESSEL RELATED CHARGES

Vessel related charges will be charged on the basis of the
Gross Tonnage (GT) of the vessels .
(Gross Tonnage (GT) is the cubic capacity of the whole ship
including engine room and crew space but excludes space
above deck, cabins, deck shelters, chart houses etc and as
recorded in the Certificate of Registry of the vessel.)
For a vessel carrying deck cargo, the deck cargo will be
added to the Gross Tonnage of the vessel for determining the
Gross Tonnage on which the charges are to be calculated .
For a vessel having dual tonnage, the higher tonnage will be
taken into account for calculation of all vessel related
charges

VESSEL RELATED CHARGES

A. PORT DUES.
Coastal vessels and foreign vessels are
charged separately.
B. PILOTAGE-CUM-TOWAGE FEES
Fee payable by the owner or operator of a ship
for the services of a pilot; the fee is normally
based on the ships tonnage, draft, or length.
Charges for the services of tugs assisting a ship
or other vessels in ports.

C. BERTH HIRE CHARGES
Berth dues (or quay dues or dockage)Charges for the use of a berth. Typically
assessed based on the duration of a
vessels stay and length overall (LOA).

CARGO RELATED CHARGES

WHARFAGE

The charge that an owner of a facility (terminal or port)

charges for the movement of cargo through that facility.

CARGO RELATED CHARGES

CHARGES ON TRANSHIPMENT CARGOES:

DEMURRAGE CHARGES (IMPORTS/ EXPORTS/TRANSHIPMENT):

A penalty charge against shippers or consignees for delaying the carriers
equipment beyond the allowed free time. The free time and demurrage
charges are set forth in the charter party or freight tariff.

STORAGE CHARGES: (OPEN STACKING SPACE)

STEVEDORING CHARGES:
Fees for loading and stowing or unloading a ship.
