123D Catch
This Program the user has the capability to capture a
3D model by using a mobile device that has this
applicationthat is developed by Autocad.

This is an example thats shows this mobile app and

how it can caputre thr image which can manitpulation
in sifferent settings

The models were then infused with the unique slicing

technology of 123D Make and transformed into easy-toassemble cut patterns!

| MASH MIXER

Model in the making by Mash mixer

Before having the model printed This program will help

you to start and finalising a project by masking
important adjestments. . Some of these tools involve
Branching Support Structures for 3D printing . Accurate
measurements, Stability & Thickness Analysis and
many more tools provided as it comes completely free
of charge

| ADOBE AFTER EFFECTS

Adobe After Effects is a digital visual effects, motion

graphics, and compositing application developed by
Adobe Systems and used in the post-production
process of filmmaking and television production.

Some popular plugins used in after effects such as

Element 3D and Cinema 4D are also quite easy to get
used to as they will open doors to beginners while
having the capability of being used professionally.

| Stop motion Technique

Combines live action filmmaking principles with
traditional character animation. It is similar to
traditional animation, uses real life material instead of
drawings. In claymation , characters are rigged onto
skeletons and moved frame by frame If i want a
skeleton to wave, one have to photograph every part of
the motion in order to make it look like its waving .
Cut out uses paper -based material filmed from above,
replaced by computer.
Silhouette animation tells stories as shadows. ex limos.
Very difficult technique to pull off.
Action figures are popular on youtube , usually
reference pop culture. These are very popular because
they are very easy to make.
Pixelation , same form of stop motion however we are
using real people and real props to create stop motion.

Stop motion animation (also called stop frame

animation) is animation that is captured one frame at
time, with physical objects that are moved between
frames. When you play back the sequence of images
rapidly, it creates the illusion of movement. If you
understand how 2D drawn animation (early Disney)
works, stop motion is similar, except using physical
objects instead of drawings.
The basic process of animation involves taking a
photograph of your objects or characters, moving them
slightly, and taking another photograph. When you play
back the images consecutively, the objects or
characters appear to move on their own.

Stop motion has been around for many years as it takes us back to
1897 where the first stop motion footage was taken. Stop motion was
used to create a source of illusion to show objects moving by
themselfes.

The term "stop motion", related to the animation

technique, is often spelled with a hyphen, "stopmotion". Both orthographical variants, with and without
the hyphen, are correct, but the hyphenated one has, in
addition, a second meaning, not related to animation or
cinema: "a device for automatically stopping a machine
or engine when something has gone wrong"
(The New Shorter Oxford English Dictionary, 1993 edition)

| Rotoscoping
This is an animation technique in which animators trace
over footage, frame by frame, for use in live-action and
animated films. Originally, recorded live-action film
images were projected onto a frosted glass panel and
re-drawn by an animator.

PRESENT AND FUTURE |

| Computer History

Abacus
This was the most acient calculating device. It was
made with wood or stone and used as an early aid of
computations . Natural elements were used for
example beans and pebbles.

Napiers Bones
Introduced in 1617 by john Napier
Also named Logarithms
Multiplications tables tables that uses addition to
multiply numbers

| FlipBook
Patented by John Barnes Linnet as the Kineograph, it
was distributed as a novelty toy for the masses. Some
home movies were featured from flipbook.further along
the flipbook inspired the Mutoscope which was invented
by Winsor McCay.

Wood Block

A form of letterpress, Wood Block printing is one of the

oldest techniques for printing and has a long history or
development in both Europe and Asia. It is a relief
process in which an image is carved in reverse into a
piece of wood, inked up and paper is pressed down on
top of it to transfer the ink and image. It is one of the
rarest forms of printing in use today, due primarily to
time consumption. However, there are many sets of
type still in existence that were created from

15

woodblocks and are often used in letterpress poster

printing

Letterpress

Letterpress is still alive today, although it exists on a

much smaller scale and usually only in specialty shops.
The process often now involves photopolymer plates
that can translate a digital design into a raised plate for
use with vintage presses. It has seen a revival of
success in recent years in the fine art, craft, and design
worlds and is often used to create wedding invitations
and posters. However, it remains a very flexible and

16

reliable printing method that can be used for almost

anything.

Digital Techniques/Tools
Sketchbook Pro is a software with pixel graphics that
features a radial user inter face which is mainly
intended for expressive drawing and sketching concept.
It is owned by Autodesk. It has an un cluttered interface
and also one can find painting and drawing tools such
as pencils , markers and brushes. It also features a
screenshot tools for annotations.

Mudbox
This is a computer based 3d sculpting and painting
tool.It is developed by autodesk
it was first used to produce the 2005 Peter Jackson
remake of King Kong. Mudbox's primary application is
high-resolution digital sculpting, texture painting, and

18

displacement and normal map creation, although it is

also used as a design tool.
