PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

There was a request from SFO to increase channel elements on Chinda Heights (Mid0054).
Therefore CE boards had to be swapped between Zvishavane Town (Mid0140) with less CE
utilization and Chinda Heights with high CE utilization.

PROBLEM SYMPTOMS

CE congestion on Mid0054

REMEDY CONDITIONS

Get BPK board (384 CE) from Mid0140 and replace BPC board (192 CE) on Mid0054
so that the final CE configurations are:
Mid0054: 2xBPK boards (768 CE)
Mid0140:2xBPC boards (384 CE)

Steps
1. Export Public and UMTS templates for Mid0054 and Mid0140

Edit the UMTS template:

On the sheet UMTS Local Cell, delete the configurations here so to remove the association
between the cell and baseband resources (Column E and Column I relation) and Save.

Import the edited UMTS template

Edit the Public Template:

On the Equipment sheet, remove BPK/BPC from configuration and Save: In Column B type M
(for Modify) and under the slot columns, clear the relevant cells- in this case slot 7 cells.

Import the edited Public Template: follow step (ii) above

Edit Public Template again to add the boards according to the new requirement: (ie 768 CE on
Mid0054 and 384 CE on Mid0140).
On the Equipment sheet Add BPK/BPC to configuration and Save. In Column cell(s) type A (for
Add) and under slot 7 Cells input relevant board types; BPK,1,0 and BPC,1,0.
Import the re-edited Public template according to (ii)
Re-edit UMTS template:

Do baseband resource assignment on the sheet UMTS Local Cell. Type A (Add) in Column B
and the assignment pattern Column I and Save.
The Assignment pattern is: BPSlot#Unit Number & BPSlot#Unit Number e.g 7#0&8#0 or
8#0&7#0 as in our case.
