I took on a work experience at a business called Jamess


Project in Frizinghall, and I helped the staff by dealing
with customers via on the phone or by email.

I was once a team captain at my secondary school


football team, and I motivated the players to do their best
and of course to try their best.

I know how to use e-mails and how to attach stuff, such


as links or pictures to e-mails.
As I said before, I always use the internet, and I have
great knowledge of using Internet Explorer and AOL.
Downloading files can be tricky, but once you get the
hang of it is easy, for example I sometimes send work to
myself and download to do it at home.
I believe Google Chrome is the best web search engine
to use, as it is sufficient, easy to use and very fast, and I
always use it.

I used to take notes on paper for my coursework, but


now I use Google Docs for my notes and other things as
it is more quicker, legible to read and easier.

I always take notes when tutors are explaining about


different assignments, and I once booked a day out trip
with my family.

I looked at different places at Universities and different


courses which suit me, and I gathered all the information
to choose the right one.

I always read the newspapers online to see the latest


breaking, and articles due to coursework and so on.

I always do my work without anyone asking me to do it


first, therefore once I get told what to do, I always do it
and I always try my best.

This skills audit that I am doing is part of my personal,


educational and career plan development; therefore it
shows my strengths and weaknesses.

I rated myself as a 3 because I believe I have some


knowledge of effective learning, such as different
subjects and coursework, but I believe I need more
knowledge in effective learning.

I always manage time to meet deadlines, this is because


every assignment that I have done in College is always
handed on time, and therefore none of them are handed
in late.
If I use any relevant sources for any specific
assignments, I always put references in at the end, and it
can include people.
I always use the Business book for most of my
assignments, and theyre from the Shipley College
library.
For most of my assignments, I take notes, as this helps
me to work better and get it all together. Therefore, it
helps me to organize everything else properly.
I have recently used the Harvard reference for some of
my assignments, and I believe I have used it correctly
and appropriately.

Action Pan for Development and where you can access these
Next time when I come across any assignments, I will do my best to use the right sources and to use books to help
me even more. However, I will only do this when I have to present any arguments in my assignments/essays, and
therefore I will do it on my next assignment etc.

I will negotiate more and talk more about different aspects of jobs and universities, with the accommodation fees
and student finance. Therefore, this will give me a better knowledge, skill and experience to negotiate more in life,
and I will feel more confident in doing it and expressing the life. However, I do believe I have done some of this,
as I have responded to University choices and I have sent off my student finance and so on.

I am not too good at ratios, percentages and I will focus more on this, as it will help me when I go to University as
numeracy is very vital in the Marketing sector. Also I will try my best to interpret inferential statistics, and
interpret descriptive statistics.

Also my personal statement for University and CVs for jobs
Both of my personal statement and CV are on my Ready 4 Work folder which is shared with Heather Savage.

Also being a part of a presentation using PowerPoint at the Centre of Excellence for Business

Career Development which is on the Weebly website and my career plan is to become an expert in the marketing side of business.
This transferable skills audit will help me with my career goal, for example it shows what I have and what I need to achieve my career path goal.
This career goal is to become an expert in marketing, and the action development plan shows what I need to work on, and it will help me to
achieve my career path more successfully. Therefore, with a good communication and a willing team player will make me more successful,
along with a load of experience in Microsoft Word or Photoshop.
