Hi All,
Kindly allow to me introduce myself, my name is Richard with batch ID V14HE8L1 and early this month (4th
Dec) I got placed in TeamF1. I'm going to share all my experiences, though I'm a bit late. These are the
companies I've applied/eligible to apply: WinIT, Green Vision, Panterra, TeamF1 and Mars Telecom (In order I
have attended/applied).

1. WinIT
First was aptitude test, it was not so tough.
Second is a programming test, 3 Programs were given:
a. Factorial
b. Printing pattern
c. Fibonnaci Series
I've written only one program, so I didn't get through this round.
2. Green Vision:
Interview (Technical):
a. Explain UART and formula to calculate baud rate.
b. UART message format, and is it possible to have multiple start and stop bits?
c. Few questions on 8051, ARM, PIC and MSP430 microcontrollers.
d. Again few questions on SPI, I2C and CAN.
e. How to use multi-channel UART if the microcontroller supports it?
f. Implement strstr() function?
g. What does "new" returns?
h. Array of pointer and pointer to array.
There were few more, but I can't remember. I couldn't answer all, and I was not able to get through this round.
3. Panterra:
Written test was scheduled at 9AM at company office, I got confused with the route given by Google maps so I
reached at 9:05AM, I was not allowed to attend the test and that's the end of story. Lesson learned!

4. TeamF1:
1. Written test: basic computer knowledge, C, Aptitude

2. Interview 1st round (Technical 1):

a. OSI layers and description of each layer.
b. Networking Protocols, and explanation (TCP, UDP, SMTP, DHCP, FTP, TFTP, HTTP, HTTPS, ARP & RARP).
d. A simple C program (integer array input and printing them) and output of printf("%d");
f. Explain few projects done listed in your resume (few things on ARM and PIC, nothing to worry if not listed in
resume).
g. Design a test case for testing an ATM Machine.
3. Interview 2nd Round (Technical 2):
a. TCP, UDP program and handshaking mechanism of TCP.

b. Reasons of using UDP instead of TCP.

c. Checking type of packet being sent on a network (netstat, Wireshark etc.).
d. Memory layout of a C program.
e. What if there is no main() function and few other related stuff.
f. Shell scripting, few commands.
NOTE: Lots of "why?" and "how?" are asked in this round.
4. Interview 3rd Round (Managerial):
a. Explain few C programs done in Vector (e.g. chat messenger implementation using FIFO).
b. What new have you tried to implement on your own using the knowledge you have learned?
c. Project explanation and finally brief explanation about the company few questions regarding that.
5. Interview 4th Round (HR):
a. Family background.
b. Interviews attended before and why do you think you are not selected in the previous interviews?
d. How many times do you lie in a day? (Please don't say "I don't lie")
e. Academical background, school, college, hobbies etc.
f. Why do you want to join TeamF1?
g. What will you do if you feel bored of your work after a few years?
One week later, I got the result and I was astonished.

5. Mars Telecom:
First was a written test: Aptitude, Reasoning, C and other technical skills (Few questions were subjective and
requires explanation)
First round of interview was HR, I had to request for a reschedule because it was coinciding with TeamF1's
Managerial round. I was not called for the Technical round the next day, maybe somewhere I've made a mistake.

P.S. I might have missed a few things but I hope this will give a brief insight of interviews. Attitude and body
language helps a lot, so I would like everyone to focus on that also.

I would like to thank Vector for providing me an amazing platform to hone my skills. I am thankful that I chose
Vector, both faculty and management are top notch and full credit goes to them. I wish good luck to everyone at
Vector and to become successful in life.

Thanks and Regards

Richard
