Action plan
Research
1) In 300 words, answer the dot points beneath your topic
First Famous Pyramid: Giza
1. Giza was made by the Ancient Egyptians. They made it for the fourth
dynasty Pharaoh Khufu
2. Well the people who designed Giza was Khufu, Imhotep and Hemiunu
but it was made by slaves, craftsmen, farmers and officials
3. The pyramid was built for Pharaoh Khufu so he can put all his prize
positions and his tomb when he dies (another word for it)
4. It is made out of limestone and carved bricks but some people believe
it is made out of limestone concrete
5. The Great Pyramid of Giza is located at Al Haram, Giza Governorate
Egypt

2nd Pyramid Pyramid of Menkaure

1. It was built for fourth dynasty Pharaoh Menkaure
2. Menkaure put his pyramid beside Khufu he designed it but got the Ancient Egyptian
craftsmen and slaves to build it. It is the smallest pyramid out of the three main
pyramids in Giza
3. It was built to keep all of Menkaures stuff and to serve his tomb
4. The pyramid was made out of limestone and granite
5. It is located at Al Ahram, Al Haram Giza Governorate Egypt
Introduction (100 words)
2) What topic have you picked? Give your creation a title or question you
aimed to prove Does the Pyramid of Giza have 8 sides?
3) What are you investigating? Explain your assessment task e.g. I am investigating
the importance of the ancient pyramids to Egyptian religion I am investigating the
importance of pyramids and what they were used for and how long it took to build
pyramids I am also going to be looking for the different types of Pharaohs
4) Why do you think your topic is important, relevant? E.g why do we need to
investigate the pyramids to understand the Ancient Egyptians? Well Investigating
pyramids helps understand what Pharaohs would use their pyramids. Also
investigating pyramids will tell us which Pharaoh had what pyramid for example Khufu
had the Great Pyramid of Giza. Also Pyramids are one of the main features of Ancient
Egypt and Pharaohs because most of the time when you think of ancient Egypt you
think of pyramids pharaohs and mummification
Action plan (200 words)
5) When investigating your topic, what areas did you focus on in order to have a
good understanding of the topic? Write these in focus question The areas I
focused on were
Types of Pyramids
What Pharaohs owned what Pyramid
The main pyramids in Egypt

6) When researching, did you need primary or secondary sources? Why?

Well all you would fine would be secondary sources because there is no
one still alive from ancient Egypt to make a website but you would need
primary because if its primary then half of the things wouldnt be made
up like some secondary sources. Maybe some of the pictures are real not
when it was taken but the item itself.
7) Include a reference list ( Reference List Is Under this page)
8) Pick one source you used, what is the origin and purpose of the
source? Wikipedia: The purpose of the source is to teach knew things that

Evaluation of your work (200 words)

8) Do you think you have a good understanding of your topic now? I think that I
have a much better understanding than before because before term 2 I knew a
little about Pyramids and Ancient Egypt in general. I have learned so much stuff
like the roles of Pharaohs and what they would use pyramids for and much more
stuff
9) What went wrong with your assessment task? I under estimated it which
made me rush the assessment and do it on the second last day before it was
due. I also think that the pyramid was rushed.
10) What ways could you have improved? I could have added more detail and I
could have made my assessment more interesting by using clay or stone.
11) What worked well? This includes your presentation/formation and research I
think me using sand worked well because it represents that the pyramid is in a
desert and have lots of pyramids plus statues made it obvious that it had
something to do with Egypt
12) Did you find conflicting information about your topic? How did it impact your
work? Yea I found a lot of confusing and weird information that were not true and
that impacted me because I would then have to go to a lot of different websites
to make sure my answer is true
13) What did you find interesting?
Things I found Interesting:
What I found interesting was that the great pyramid of Giza has 8 sides and also
that Khufus tomb was in the great pyramid of Giza. I also didnt know that they
kept there pets in the pyramids.
