DEDICATION
This project is dedicated to almighty God who gives me knowledge and
understanding to learn.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT
Great thanks to God who give me knowledge and understanding through this
project.
I cannot forget to thank Mr. and Mrs. Justin Emeribe who supported me in
this month of study.
I thank Master Nwali innocent who help to teach me some certain things
under this computer software.

PREFACE
This project is a summary of all packages we did in Greenland computer
institute. It explains part of the computer and their duties.
This project will help me and my colleagues to refresh our hind about what
we were taught. It will make us not to forget everything about computer when
we go to another place.
If we were ask to teach computer in school or anywhere, this experience will
help us to teach without looking for help. Or if we get our own centres, it will
help us to perform well.
It will also help us when we enter higher institution (university) to do our
project and defend it.

OBSERVATION
God is with Greenland computer institution and also in control. In this
institution, I observe that Director Eng. O. Emmanuel Chukwuebuka can never
live a student until he/she understands what he taught.
Before a student move to another package, he/she must right and pass text
and exam, unless the student will repeat the package provided that the student
understand the package very well.
Due to how we communicate like brothers and sisters, one can teach the
other what they dont understand or the next package in other to help their
teacher. It is difficult for a customer to find the teacher among the student due
to how he humble himself to the student and everybody including customers
and neighbors.

Hardware can also be defined as the part of the computer that you can see,
touch, and feel. They include CPU, monitor, keyboard and mouse. The reason

2. Output device
Input device accepts data from the outside and convert it to electronic form that
computer understands.
Examples are

information to the computer, by typing in letters and commands on the
keyboard.
Mouse: it is a hand operating device which is used to point and click items

Monitor: it allows us to see the result of the work or command we gave the
computer to perform.
Printer: it is a device designed to print your computer generated documents
onto paper.
Speakers: it is an output device that allows listening to sounds from the
computer.
Software can be defined as invisible and untouchable part of the computer but you
can feel it.

1.4.1 Types of software:

1. System software
2. Application software
System software is usually written by computer manufactures to make it easier to
use application programs and hardware resources. It is also known as operating
system. E.g. service pack 1(XP), service pack 2(XP), service pack 3(XP), window
7, window 8 etc.
Application software is programs designed for specific computer application.
Example: Microsoft office, Adobe reader, Opera mini, Mavis, etc.
