Route 43: Temporary Service Changes to accommodate SafeTrack

Effective: Saturday June 18, 2016

New Schedule including Weekday Midday, Evening, and Weekend Service
Effective Saturday, June 18th, ART Route 43 will begin providing service seven days a week. This is to provide a
bus alternative for those traveling between Crystal City and points south and the Rosslyn and Courthouse Metro
Stations during WMATAs SafeTrack maintenance project.
Hours of service
Monday Thursday (6:00a-11:00p)
Friday (6:00a-12 Midnight)
Saturday (7:00a-12 Midnight)
Sunday (7:00a-11:00p)
Frequency
Weekday Rush Hours (6:01a-9:01a and 2:59p-7:00p) 10 minute frequency
Middays, Evening, and Weekends 20 minute frequency
Holiday service
Route 43 will not operate on Independence Day, Monday July 4th.
The new ART 43 schedule will be posted at www.arlingtontransit.com.
Bus Stop Relocation at VRE Station and Crystal Drive
Starting Saturday June 18th, ART Routes 43 and 92 bus stop near the VRE station entrance will be relocated to the
Transitway station at 18th Street & Crystal Drive. This is to provide safe and convenient access between ART,
Metro and VRE services during the SafeTrack Maintenance Project. Bus operators will only serve the new stop
location. The new schedule is designed to allow time to walk between the Transitway stop and the VRE station.
