Three aspects that I would like to improve:

The content of science textbooks The content of the science textbook

need to be updated as they are several new finding by the scientist

and the researchers. The current information must be included in the
new textbook so that the students will not confuse with the outdated
info.
The language use for science textbooks I will recommend to the

Ministry of Education to use bilingual textbooks because the uses of

Bahasa Melayu is not compulsory in SJK for primary school. When the
students from SJK need to use fully Malay language for secondary
textbooks, they might be struggling.
Teaching and learning process outside of the classroom Sometimes
the teaching and learning process need to be carried out outside of the
classroom for science subject such as in computer lab or in schools
garden. Student can watch an illustrated video in computer lab for the
chemical reaction topic as the movement of particles cannot be seen
by naked eye. Besides, students can observe in detail when the topic
about plant was carried out in garden thus can improve their
understanding.
2. Topic: Electrolysis in aqueous solution
Two teaching materials that I would use when teaching this topic is schools
text book and a video related to this topic. We know that text book is vital in
every subject to give general knowledge to the students regarding to the
topic that they will learn and all information needed by the students already
stated in the text books unless they want the additional information then
they need to read the revision book. I believe this material can enhance the
effectiveness of my teaching because when they are already have the
surface knowledge about the topic, it will be easier for them to understand
the topic and they will detect immediately the information that they may not
understand when learning this topic.

The next material that I will use is by showing to the students an

experimental video of electrolysis. This material is the most rationale for this
topic because it can shows the movement of ions to the electrodes as it
cannot be seen by naked eyes. Besides, the students will enjoy thee teaching
and learning session as the video can grab their attention as there are
sounds,

movement,

colorful,

and

interesting

thus

can

enhance

the

effectiveness of my teaching.
3. Three aspects that need to be considered in planning an effective lesson is
first, know the students characteristics and previous knowledge, second, the
content of teaching and third is the materials that available to help in
teaching process. When teaching topic Electrolysis in aqueous solution, I
will ask the students some questions to test their previous knowledge related
to this topic. Next, I will introduce and explain in detail about this topic in
specific time allocate. Lastly, to make my teaching process interesting, I will
use several teaching materials to enhance students understanding.
4. The importance of instructional materials.
It can help to introduce new concepts to the students. Example:
Chemistry textbooks
It can explain the details that cannot be seen by naked eye such as the
movement of ions.

It can help the teacher to determine the level of learning of the
students.
