2 Apply social work ethical principles to guide professional

practice
For competency 2.1.2 I used to use my Moral Reasoning paper from
SW3410 because this paper was a way for me understand my ethical
principles and values, which guide my social work practice. This paper made
me look at the decisions I make and the reasoning on why I made that
decision. It also forces me to assess my own values and to not be bias
towards others. My morals may not match anothers and it is important to
understand why I cannot force my morals onto someone else.
The NASW Code of Ethics guides the social work practice and we, as
social workers, need to be fluent in these values and understand every
concept of them in order to provide our service. This paper was a way to gain
insight into this competency and ensure I understand the ethical principles
for my practice.
