Introduction
A new restaurant is coming into town under the name The Flying
Pig Bistro. They have asked for us to present them two logo options,
two options for outdoor signs, one menu layout, and two options for a
business card. The have specified that these should include a purple
pig with golden wings. They have also asked for clean, simple, and
modern work with a vintage feel to them.

Goals
The goal for this project is to create the items our client has
requested. This includes giving them something that meets the criteria
they have given us to work with. The goal for the final product is for it
to meet both of these and see that our client is happy with the items
presented before them.

Client
The client for this project is The Flying Pig Bistro, more
specifically J. Bacon, the proprietor of the business.

Scope
Logos
When creating the first logo, the head was traced first followed by
the wings. The colors of the items were then changed. Only three
colors were used in this logo: yellow (two shades), purple (two
shades), and black. This logo is the more retro of the two designs
When creating the second logo, the head, eyes, nose, and nostrils
are created by the ellipse tool. The ears are created by the
paint brush tool. The wings are a mixture of the paint brush
and the pen tools. The color scheme of the first logo is kept in
the second. This logo is the more modern of the two designs
Business Cards
When creating the first business card, a rectangle was made that
was 3.5 x 2 inches tall. It was given the light purple edge with the
green filling. The font being used on the card is Magneto Bold and
was used to fill in the business information of the restaurant.

When creating the second business card, a rectangle was made

the same size as the first. It was given the dark purple edge with
the same green filling. The second logo was applied. The font for
this card is the same as the first, but the position of the lettering
was transferred from the left to side of the card to the right.
Outdoor Signs
For the first outdoor sign, I took the first logo and made it a 3D
sign, I then put it on a box colored in the green color used to
make the business cards. The lettering for the restaurants name
was done in the lighter color yellow and black in the same font
used on the business cards.
The second outdoor sign is practically the same as the first, just
with the difference of the logo from the first option to the second.
Menu Layout
When creating the menu layout, the main color was the green
with the darker purple as the outline. The front and back pages
were used to make the most of the space given. The food items
were separated like the client had requested with the addition of
beverages added to the menu. The font colors on the cover
comes from the colors on the outdoor sign. The rest of the menu
was written in black with the font Magneto Bold.

Target Audience
The target audience for this project is the people of the town.
They are the customers that will decide whether they are to eat there
or not. Because of this, we need to make sure the items deliverables
are clean and easy to read. They must be aesthetically pleasing to the
average person in order to draw them in.

Limitations
The limitations always include the time constraints. In this project
many limitations were given by the client, such as the color of some of
the items and how many colors can be used. Other constraints given
by them was the look and feel of their items. Our client has a very
clear vision of what they want their deliverables to look like.

Finished Product and Deliverables

These are the final edits of the items requested by the client.
They would like two different options for a logo, two options for an

outdoor sign, two options for some business cards, and one option for a
menu layout. All of these options will meet the criteria presented to us
by our client.

Timeline
The anticipated timeline for the completion of this project is
February 22, 2016. All items for this project should be completed and
presented by this date.
