Atisale is the largest Italian sea salt producer and the only dried vacuum salt producer.

Founded in 1994 in order to market the salt of the National State Monopoly, Atisale became
a manufacturing company in 2003, when it was privatized and bought by a group of
entrepreneurs from Apulia.

In recent years, the innovative technologies adopted by Atisale are used in unison with a rich
heritage of old traditions and deep knowledge of cultivation, collection and processing of salt.

The continued Research & Development activities of the company focuses on quality, products
and innovation, without ever losing sight of environmental sustainability and the real needs of
clients.

The result is an all-Italian salt, produced and processed in the biggest saltworks of Europe at
Margherita di Savoia in Apulia, in the solar saltworks of S. Antioco in Sardinia and in the vacuum
salt plant of Volterra in Tuscany, where the salt is extracted through evaporation.

Thanks to the most advanced technologies, the production process conforms to the strictest
standards and legal guidelines for food safety. During the whole production cycle, starting from
the sea and ending with the finished product, the Quality Laboratories of Atisale which are
present in every facility, perform more than 250 checks and tests.

The distribution of the products is performed exploiting both the logistical positions of the
Atisale production sites, and the port of S. Antioco, equipped with the appropriate machinery.

Atisale, market leader in Italy in the “tobacco store” sector, exports its products all over the
world.
