Singh attariwala to baba Ji at Akal Takth Sahib, Amritsar for defence.
Taking a serious note of the worsoning sitution Baba Ji immidiately moved with the
worriors to the battle field of Muddiki in December 1845. A very firice fighting took
place and about 10,000 Anglo Soilders were killed. The enemy fled. The battle was won.
But, a traiter of Sikhs, Karam Singh known as Karma Ali for his back role informed the
enemy to attacj with cannon fire, as Nihangs were without such support as yet.
Consiquently, the enemy attacked with heavy cannon fire, about 15,000 sikh worriors
were martyed and were cremated at Gurdwara Dukhniwaran Sahib. Fighting against the
odds Baba ji along with 500 worriers moved towards Gharam and was seriously wounded
