Project Details

 Has potential but not able to procure
milk to its potential
• Goal: To meet demand of milk .
• It is a pilot project.
• Setting 10 dairy farms in and around the
district
Project Concept
• Shortage of milk in northern India.
• Demand is increasing continuously.
• Traditional methods are unsuccessful
1. Members are not bound to supply milk
2. Non performing members use services.
3. Need for good procurement
4. Low production cost
Project Objectives
• To replicate this project in other area of the
country which have potential to increase the
milk production.
• To encourage big farmers to join the dairy
farming
• To utilize the full capacity of dairy plant which
are suffering under capacity problem
Project Highlights
• The total cost - 1.1 to 1.2 Cr for 10 DF
• Farmers selection- landholding farmers
• Per dairy farm cost- 11.9 lakhs
• 25 cows of HF breed(highest milk producing
cows) which can sustain in Indian conditions
• Biogas plant of 15m3 capacity/day,reduce GHG
• Pay back period-2.5 years
