Two Possible Challenges

Are we using Information Technology to engage

our students and to help them learn more
effectively?

Even without using Information Technology, does

the approach to teaching in our schools still tend
to be ONE-WAY BROADCAST LEARNING--or
have we made efforts to move towards TWO-
WAY INTERACTIVE LEARNING?

collaboratively.
WHAT HAPPENED IN YOUR GROUP?
Name a couple of things that struck you
in your sharing:
Either a COMMONALITY
or a CONTROVERSY.

Try not to repeat what others have said

UNLESS it was really, really important.
TOP CHALLENGES
Formation of our teachers in faith, Ignatian spirituality, especially for non-
Christian faculty, especially given the limited number of Catholics in some
regions and the diminishing number of Jesuits. Suggestion: Inter-Province
collaboration

Non-Christian secularized context of our students and faculty, especially

students’ changing attitudes. Suggestion: Parent formation.

Inadequate strategies for sharing spirituality with the youth (both Christian
and non-Christian) given their desire for spirituality. Suggestion: Assistancy
Colloquium on the Ministry of Teaching

Development of learning-teaching methodologies that are contemporary,

relevant, and engaged with Ignatian pedagogy
