Surah Yunus (10:5)

5. It is He Who made the sun to be a

shining glory and the moon to be a
light (of beauty), and measured out
stages for her; that ye might know
the number of years and the count
(of time). Nowise did Allah create this but in
truth and righteousness. (Thus) doth He explain
His Signs in detail, for those who understand.

(Surah Ar-Ra’d (13:2)

2. Allah is He Who raised the heavens without
any pillars that ye can see; is firmly established
on the throne (of authority); He has
subjected the sun and the moon (to
his Law)! Each one runs (its course)
for a term appointed. He doth regulate all
affairs, explaining the signs in detail, that ye may
believe with certainty in the meeting with your
Lord.
Surah Al-Isra (17:78)
78. Establish regular prayers - at the sun's
decline till the darkness of the night,
and the morning prayer and reading:
for the prayer and reading in the
morning carry their testimony.
Surah Al-Furqan (25:45)
5. Hast thou not turned thy vision to thy Lord?-
How He doth prolong the shadow! If
He willed, He could make it
stationary! then do We make the sun
its guide;
Surah Al-Furqan (25:61-62)
61. Blessed is He Who made constellations in
the skies, and placed therein a Lamp
and a Moon giving light;
62. And it is He Who made the Night and
the Day to follow each other: for such
as have the will to celebrate His praises or to
show their gratitude.
Surah Ash-Shams (91:1-5)
1. By the Sun and his (glorious)
splendour;
2. By the Moon as she follows him;
3. By the Day as it shows up (the
Sun's) glory;
4. By the Night as it conceals it;
5. By the Firmament and its
(wonderful) structure;
