4 AREA CALCULATION

The area of a plot was calculated by first dividing the plot into two parts through the

diagonal. Then, we make use of Hero’s formula to calculate each of the triangle and

the value were added together to make the entire area of the plot.

FIELD WORK OBSERVATION:

The observer with the compass stand on a point and another member holding the

ranging pole at the other end. The observation was made at every station and recorded

in the field book. The operation was carried out at all the stations.
