A resignation letter by any elected or appointed official must be addressed to the Town Clerk with an otiginal signature. Pursuant to MGL (c41, s109) I then notify the Selectmen that an offical resignation has been received and accepted by my office so that the Sclectmen may then act. This letter is to notify you that the only offical notification of resignation is an original letter addressed to the Town Clerk with an original signature. No other form of resignation can be accepted by the Town Clerk’s Office, such as, email, letters addzessed to other committees, boards, etc Keeping this in mind, please know that the copy of the letter submitted to this Office by Selectmen Leffort is not a legal letter of resignation, At this time, I have not received an official letter of resignation from Mr. Andzews If you have any questions or concemns, please feel free to contact me. bes Respgctfully, Nhleen J.
