REPRESENTATION OF DATA USING MIICROSOFT EXCEL 2007

1ST STEP: CONSTRUCT VISUAL REPRESENTATION FOR TEST 1

- highlight student n test 1


- go to insert
- choose chart
- go to 'move chart'
- Rename title and click ok.

2ND STEP: CHANGE THE DESIGN OF CHART DEPENDS ON YOURSELF

- choose 'design' at the menu bar


- Right click to open menu for design or the template design under menu bar.

3RD STEP: COPY THE VISUAL DATA (e.g. pie chart) TO OTHER SOFTWARE
(MICROSOFT WORD, etc.)

Finished.

Note:

To change data, chart types, title or anything you need to change, open original data,

Create a new chart, refer to the same data.

USING FORMULA

a. TO FIND SUM OF DATA

- highlight the score column for test 1

- click ‘auto sum’ symbol.

- to make it easier, after ‘auto sum’ formula had been used in first column,
just drag the small point at the lower right corner of the box where the sum
for test 1 showed before.
B. TO FIND MEAN

- click at any box where you want the answer to be showed up.

- insert function, choose statistical, and then choose ‘AVERAGE’.

- insert the range of data according to the position of the box for (TEST 1,
e.g.)

c. TO FIND MODE
- As usual, click at any box where you want the answer to be showed up.
- insert function, choose statistical, and then choose ‘MODE’.
- insert the range of data according to the position of the box for (TEST 1,
e.g.)

d. TO FIND MEDIAN
- As usual, click at any box where you want the answer to be showed up.
- insert function, choose statistical, and then choose ‘MEDIAN’.
- insert the range of data according to the position of the box for (TEST 1,
e.g.)

Note: other statistical software is SPSS.
