REF Turner I Saunders Downzoning Presentation
I have been told from several sources that the data used to
compile the downzoning presentation
made by Fitz Turner and Mr Saunders was never released to your committee
contending issues
of client confidentiality This contention is ridiculous since if the data is
actually legitimate it would
all be of public record As a result of this lack of I
transparency have always suspected that
Queen Anne s Conservation Association must have
something to hide with regard to the
Turner Saunders study In fact I would suggest that if QACA
truly won t release their data that
it in itself should be evidence
strong enough of wrongdoing to warrant the removal of their
representative from your group s Eastern Shore
Maryland doesn t need certainly
another yet
special interest group using falsified data and studies to harm more farm families
Incredibly in spite of all of their manipulation the difference between the two counties still ended
with QAC approximately 1 200 per acre
higher than Kent This represents a downzoning loss
of 400 000 per average QAC farm
family Of course Mr Turner and Mr Saunders mis
characterized this loss as no discernable difference Obviously neither of them has written a
400 000 check lately or they get
paid a lot more for producing their flawed downzoning studies
than any of us can even begin to imagine Worse yet had their been done
study and accurately
reflected all of the sales it appears as if the difference would have represented nearly a
1 000 000 loss per QAC farm family Please
put this matter to bed once and for all before more
farm families get hurt by this nonsense
