A LOSSLESS SPEECH COMPRESSION USING CASCADED

RLS PREDICTOR

We proposed a new cascaded RLS-LMS analyst for lossless audio coding applications.
In this proposed analyst, an LMS analyst with high-order is employed in sort to capture
the ample tonal and harmonic components of the audio signal for optimal prophecy of
gain performance. At the similar time, to solve the slow convergence crisis of the LMS
algorithm with colored inputs, a low-order RLS analyst is cascaded preceding to the
LMS analyst to take away the phantom tilt of the audio signal. This cascaded RLS-LMS
configuration effectively mitigates the sluggish convergence crisis of the LMS algorithm
and simultaneously provides better-quality forecast of gain performance for audio
signals compared with the conformist LMS analyst thereby resulting in an enhanced
overall compression performance has been analyzed.
