Art Show (article 1)

Art in Puerto Rico is omnipresent; everywhere you look, you see art! In local
municipalities, cities, towns, neighborhoods, art is prevalent, and the substantiality of this
art applies to the cultures and lifestyles of Puerto Rico.

Museo de Arte Contemporánea:

This is Puerto Rico’s museum of modern art (MoMa). Situated on Ave. Ponce de León in
Santurce, this museum is composed of many abstract sculptures that stem from
environmental and philosophical notions. Also, the themes of each exhibit in the MoMa
varied. In an interview with David Soto, 2010 graduate of Dorado Academy, he gave us his
insight on his visit to the MoMa:

“The exhibits were very abstract and the themes contained a distinguishing variation. There
was a sculpture of just car tires, and this sculpture had to deal with the environment. “

This museum is chalk full of eye catching art pieces and is very intriguing to the society of
Puerto Rico; delve into this museum to explore and witness it’s eye catching workings.

“Art carries an important message. We can take something that Is completely useless and make
it carry a sense of value, and make it seem aesthetically pleasing to society. “ - David Soto.
