When gas containing dust passes
through the Throat Section (2)
between the Gas Guide Plate (1)
and the water surface, water is
included and a whirling swirl occurs
in the Scrubbing Section (3).
Much water, brought up by the gas,
collides with the back of Gas Guide
Plate, drops into the Throat Section
and is made turned into fine
particles by the gas again.
Therefore, at the Scrubbing Section,
gas is enclosed by fine particle
water.
As a result, extremely effective
gas-liquid mixing and stabilized and
highly-efficient dust collection is
occurs in the Wet Scrubber.
‘After passing through the Scrubbing
Section, the drops of water, which
are brought by the cleaned gas,
collide with and are caught by the
Drain Board (4). Therefore water
splashes are hardly observed at the
Gas Outlet.
Features
* HIGH DUST COLLECTING EFFICIENCY
Practical and efficient dust collection.
+ SIMPLE CONSTRUCTION
Scattering and atomization occur as
dust passes through the vater, therefore
no pump is needed. The open structure
permits easy maintenance.
+ VERSATILITY
* EXCELLENT ECONOMY
Low pressure loss (150mm Aq) and low
running cost.

(4) Drain BoardCOLLECTION EFFICIENCY
Dust collection efficiency differs
according to a dust’s particular
affinity for vater. Graph 1 illu:
trates the collection efficiency
of ore dust and refined metal dust.
The maximum amount of particles in
dust laden gas is (approx. 20g/Nut),
but this depends upon the specific
gravity of the dust particles
contained within the gas itself.
When treating high temperature gas,
(150°C+) a spray nozzle which per-
nits cooling must be attached to
the gas inlet. If this is done
steam is given off and dust collec -
tion efficiency increases.
