GITS BLITZ‘09 The fourth intercollegiate commerce fest "GITS BLITZ" was held on the 9th of Oct. We feel really proud when nnounce that this years "Gits Blitz” was a roaring success and truly created a landmark in the history of SCAS. The overall champion- ship was awarded to St. Ber- chamans’ College, Changnassery, And the runners-up title was claimed by Baselious College, Kot- tayam, Cricket Tournament The M.G. University. Inter- Collegiate Cricket Tourna- ment is being currently held at CM. College Kottayam. It with great joy that we announce that our SCAS team has qualified for the quarter-finals. The topic for the debate was "Is Capital Punishment a neces- sity in India". The co-ordina- tors from PowerVision were very happy with our debate group as they had delivered an excellent performance. ‘The episode shot here would be aired later in the month. HOLY NIGHT ‘A team of 22 students repre- sented our college in a special programme hosted by Power Vision TV. The team comprised of boys & girls of both D2 & D3.The programme known as “Holy night” is a Christmas program. The recording was held on 13th November 2009, Friday at the Power Vision TV Studio. Lr. Ambily Merlin Kuruvilla & LrJuni Thomas accompanied the team. The team was highly appreciated by the studio for their per- formance. The songs will be telecasted from December 10 to 17 on the Power Vision Channel. D2 ON TOUR Rightafter D3 students spent 6 days revelling in the excite- ment of our tour, the D2 students got their chance except for a small difference theirs was a one day tour. They cleverly utilized the entire 7th day of November, leaving early in the morning at 4:30 & returning only an hour after midnight. They ‘were accompanied by A\ Sir, Seethu Miss & Christa Miss. First, they visited Eravi- kulam National Park However, what they enjoyed most of all was the home- made chocolate & soup from the restaurants in the Park. 2's next stop was Mattu- petty, 13 km from Munnar, situated at a height of 1700 meters. They also climbed up to the Echo point & had fun trying even their own echoes! In all, they had a very good time despite the rainy condition and the low temperature of the place. ‘They made the best of their time, playing around even in the rain! Tape yourself and see how long it takes you to fully answer a question, 2. Include concrete, quantifiable data. Interviewees tend to talk in Generalities. Unfortunately, gen- eralities often fail to convince interviewers that the applicant has assets. Include measurable information and provide details about specific accomplishments when discussing your strengths. 3. Repeat your key strengths three times. It's essential that you comfortably and confidently articulate your strengths. Explain how the strengths relate to the company's or department's goals and how they might benefit the potent your strengths then they will be employer. If you repeat remembered and—if supported with quantifiable accomplishments—they will more likely be believed 4. Prepare five or more success stories. In preparing for inter- views, make a list of your skills and key assets. Then reflect on past jobs and pick out one or two instances when you used those skills successfully 5.
