Dear Keone’ula Parents and Guardians,

With Quarter 1 behind us, just a couple of reminders regarding parking, drop off and pick up procedures
and entering buildings afterschool. We are asking for your assistance in help to keep our children safe
when they come to school and when they leave our campus:

• Parking in Handicap Stalls – The handicap stalls are reserved for cars that have a handicap
placard. If you do not have a handicap placard do not park in the stall. Also please do not block
handicap stalls.

• Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures in the Upper Parking Lot – The best place for your child to
be dropped off and picked up is in our upper parking lot. In the upper parking lot, there are three
lanes. The farthest right lane is for dropping off and picking up. Cars should move all the way
down and pay attention to the adults and JPOs directing traffic. The middle lane is for passing
cars. Once you have dropped off your child, you may proceed to the middle lane. The far left
lane is also a passing lane for cars coming out of the upper parking lot.

• Drop Off and Pick-Up Procedures in the Lower Parking Lot – All cars need to be parked in a
clearly marked stall. No parking is allowed in the fire lane or by sidewalk curbs. No car should
be left unattended.

• Entering buildings afterschool – We are asking for your assistance with this matter. If you
arrive on campus early to pick up your child, please do not enter the buildings (E, G, & F). This
is to ensure that children are not distracted and that teachers can maximize instruction. Once the
bell rings to signal the end of the day, you may enter the school buildings.

• Animals on Campus – Pets should not be brought on campus. The only time pets are allowed on
campus are if they are a service animal.

Together we can ensure that are children are kept safe. If you have any questions feel free to give me a
call at 689-1380.

Sincerely,

Alexandra Obra
Vice Principal
