Platform affected - 2006
• The following platform will be ship without OS or
DRDVD
- Angelfire 3.0, Davos 3.0, Gallo 1.0, Opus 1.0,
Caymus 1.0, Heavenly 2.0 and Taos 2.0.
• HP will be able to use the recovery partition on the
HDD to customer whose HDD has been change or
damage.

Things to take note 1/2
• The making of recovery disc should not be on a RW
media, only CD-R and DVD+/-R.
• The Base Recovery disc set can only be created once.
• Estimate # of media needed when creating the recovery
disc
- DVD media Dual Layer – 1
- DVD media normal – 2
- CD media – 11
This will be shown when you create recovery discs.

Things to take note 2/2
• Notebook must be on AC before creating the recovery CD. No
check thereafter if the AC is unplug during the process.
• Any third party application installed by customer will not be
recover by the base recovery discs, customer will need installed
the application themselves.
• If OS is corrupted and cannot boot into windows, recovery can be
perform by holding the F11 key when the unit boot.
− Provided if the HDD is still functioning.
• If the HDD fails, you can use of the recovery disc that you create
to recover the system back to the factory configuration. It is
important that the recovery disc is created by the customer.
