    The Stroke Adjustment Unit consists of three compo-


    nents: a turnbuckle, threaded left-hand at the stem end
    and right-hand at the cylinder end, and two jam nuts.
    To adjust the stroke zero-point, both jam nuts must be
    Valve loosened, and the turnbuckle turned clockwise to
    Body shorten the stem assembly or counter-clockwise to
    lengthen it. The jam nuts are then tightened to lock the
    new length of the stem assembly.

    To remove the cylinder actuator, loosen only the


    cylinder-end jam nut by turning it clockwise, and use
    the flats on the piston rod to turn it counter-clockwise
    until it comes free of the turnbuckle thread. The
    actuator tie rod nuts can then be removed and the
    entire actuator assembly lifted from the valve yoke.
    The Stroke Adjustment unit is standard on all Series
    5200 Control Pinch Valves.

    Materials:
    The standard material for the turnbuckle and the jam
    nuts is 304 Stainless Steel.
