Scavenger hunt #l

You are going on a scavenger hunt (with a twist)! Normally, in a scavenger hunt, you are given a
list of items to collect. This time, you will make a list of items to take pictures of. You will submit l3
pictures, each representing a different letter in the phrase
"S-c-a-v-e-n-g-e-r h-u-n-t".

For example:
S= son- picture of my son playing
C: chess- picture ofa chessboard
A= activist- picture of someone protesting something.

o The topics are up to you.

o The subject representing the letter must be a NOUN (person, place, or thing). It cannot be an
adjective like S for slippery, cannot be a verb like S for selling, and cannot be an adverb like S for
stealthily.
o You must have rule of thirds picture

o You must have perspective picture
one
o You must have picture in or around our school
one
o You must have MACRO picture
one
o You must have picture with added effects in Photoshop
one
r Do not submit a blurry picture
o Do not submit a picture that is too dark
o You must work on it in class
o You must do a Power Point Presentation that everyone will view
o You must have a title slide with your name
o You must have an ending slide with a recap of the photos and a short paragraph of a self-
evaluation (no set questions- just what you feel compelled to discuss *reminder, others will view
it)

Proiect is due December 20t1 . At the end of that day, I will walk around with my flash-drive and
save your PowerPoint. Here is a suggested timeline:

Dec.6 Plan out subjects for your pictures (what the "s" will be, etc. . . )
Week 1 Finish subject planning, now assign which one will be rule of thirds, which one
will be Macro, which one will have Photoshop special effects, and which one will be in perspective.
(Weekend- start taking pictures)
Dec. l0 View some pictures taken . Load in to school computer. See what worked, what
didn't.
Dec. 13 - load/ save/ view more pictures. Start adjusting size, brightness, and conffast in Photoshop.
(finish taking pictures ifyou did not do so yet)
Week 2 Start making your Power Point Presentation.
Dec. lTth- Finish PowerPoint presentation. Edit what needs editing. Start your evaluation/ending
slide.
Dec. 20 DUE DATE. Final self-review/adjustments before I come around to save your work on my
flash-drive.
